Throughout her life, Kathleen has always enjoyed the challenge of the visual arts. As a young adult, Kathleen ventured to California and studied oil painting and experimented with the three dimensional arts. On returning to her birth place in the beautiful Fingerlakes Region of Central New York she found a love for clay and her dreams became a successful reality.
The Spinglers have a second home in Forestport NY where Kathleen also has a studio. It was there, in 2002, Kathleen discovered that the combination of terra cotta clay and wind created music tones. Her whimsical designs of wind chimes became a success and spurred many new ideas thereafter.
As she says “So goes the terror of an artist mind… too many ideas not enough time.” Kathleen enjoys the challenge of custom work and all her designs are unique and one of a kind.
